Professor Alain Berrebi, Specialist in Hematology

Prof. Alain Berrebi  has a long experience in Hematology. For 30 years he chaired the department oh Hematology at Kaplan Medical Center, and he is now the head of Research and consultant in hematology in Kaplan Hospital, Yosef Tal hospital and in kupat holim Meouhedet.

In his private clinic in Rehovot, Prof. Berrebi  receives patients from all insurance companies for consulation in all the fields of Hematology including leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, and other blood diseases: anemias, coagulation problems (thrombopenia and thrombophilia) and cytopenias.

To give the best opinion, Prof. Berrebi needs a brief summary of diseases and medications, results of laboratory tests, pathology, and imaging (CT, US, XRay).
He will help for the understanding of the final diagnosis, advice for the best treatment and follow up, both for the patient and his family.

During the last two decades, Prof. Berrebi was specially interested in the biology and clinic of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and has several scientific publications
on this subject. Recently he participated to an international clinical trial which  defined the best treatment for CLL including chemotherapy and mabthera. He is chairing the Israeli CLL Study Group and the association for the research of CLL.

Prof. Berrebi is an active member of Scientific Societies of Hematology in Israel and all over the world and participates actively in meetings for maintaining the best "up to
